Using simple map templates, this activity is designed for learners working in pairs to practise asking for and understand directions.

An activity for pairs which encourages learners to practise the language they will use when asking people about themselves.
Role play
These are substantial activities which can involve a whole group. Although they require careful preparation in advance they can be extremely effective in achieving a high level of very enjoyable language practice. Both activities include sample session plans.

A mystery to solve
An activity based on an art theft. It is suitable for learners working at intermediate level and above.

A complex and interactive role play. As with Mystery, careful preparation is needed but this is rewarded by an activity that can last more than one session and which really gets learners involved.
