Active learning: self assessment
There is a time and place for tutors to take the lead in presenting material to their group. But there are many situations where getting it right for the learner involves providing opportunities for learners to make their own discoveries, reflect and problem solve. This will challenge them, and help them become expert learners.
Tutors using the site independently can use this self-assessment activity to reflect on their own practice, and to consider where it might be desirable, appropriate or necessary to make some changes. It can, however, be used in or as preparation for a managed CPD or coaching session.
