Welcome to this website, which has been created to provide a wealth of opportunities for Adult Learning tutors to develop their professional practice further.
On this website, you will find:
- Four themes central to Adult Learning which will help you to put principles into practice across a range of Adult Learning subjects and disciplines.
- CPD resources that are relevant to all tutors no matter what subject or discipline you teach. They deal with some of the key issues raised in the themes and include notes for facilitators, PowerPoint slides, handouts, video clips and case studies.
- CPD resources that have been designed with tutors of specific subjects or disciplines in mind — ICT, Modern Foreign Languages and Sport and fitness. They deal with some of the key issues raised in the themes but also take account of the fact that practitioners in different curriculum areas may need to interpret and deal with them in different ways.
If you are a Subject Learning Coach, you will find throughout the website we have identified opportunities where you can explore a variety of activities in your subject coaching networks and share your experiences with your colleagues and other Subject Learning Coaches.

Finally, we have provided downloads in Rich Text Format (RTF). With RTF, you will be able to download these documents and adapt them for your own sessions. However, using RTF format results in documents being quite large and slow to download. So, we have also included Word versions which are much smaller and will download more quickly.
